Mike Poynton

Originally from Chicago, Mike moved to Costa Rica in 2005. He started a property management business to accommodate client’s needs and then became a major partner in the ownership of the Franchise Brand Better Homes Real Estate (involved in residential, commercial and hotel property sales in the Northwest Pacific).

In 2009 Mike left his position with Better Homes Real estate and started a digital marketing company, Paradise Social, and provided client’s with WordPress website design, and online and related marketing for local businesses. He continued pursuing a marketing business as a Freelance Marketer.

He offers real estate clients his extensive experience in both real estate sales and marketing and has knowledge of construction concepts having been an architect in Chicago. After researching real estate company options, he decided to join the Coldwell Banker Coast to Coast Properties Team.

Mike is married to a “local girl” from Playa Hermosa and they have a son and daughter. He is fluent in Spanish and describes himself as a “tree-hugger and fitness freak”. His passions are beaches, sunsets, puppies, snakes and ice-cold beer. His hobbies include gardening and taking photographs
