Property Description
The property is located in the mountains above San Isidro de El General in the area known as Santa Elena. It consists of over 2.5 hectares with public road frontage.
A large percentage of the property is fairly flat, cleared and usable for building. It could work as either an eco-lodge of sorts, or even subdivided and sold into residential lots.
The back part of the property is bordered by a beautiful river or "quebrada" that features cascades and pools in the midst of large boulders. There is one boulder that is even large enough for some type of structure to be built on top of it, perhaps a lookout with dynamic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The water feature of this property is indeed unique as the photos demonstrate.
As you walk down to the river you cross through a dense jungle area, teaming with flora and fauna. The combination of flat, cleared usable land, with jungle and river makes this property very fluid and dynamic for a number of uses.
The area where the property is located, Santa Elena, is undergoing some important developments. First of all there is talk of paving the road from the turnoff to the nearby Alexander Skutch biological reserve, just before Peñas Blancas, all the way to Santa Elena. Second, there is a new and large development underway called Rise Costa Rica. This is an 800 acre project that consist of a high-end wellness retreat with long term residences. In the nearby residential development of Las Vistas de Chirripo, there is an "eco-campus" of York University in Canada, where students are housed to study the biodiversity of the adjacent Chirripo National Park.
This property has tons of potential. Take a look and I am sure you will agree.
